HOME OR OFFICE NEEDING A "REVAMP"?
You may have seen Suzanne from Home & Office Revamps working around the Macleay Island jetty shelter of late. Suzanne was responsible for the colour scheming, design plans (including design of the new 'Macleay Island Welcomes You' sign and notice boards) and project management (including working with the Running Wild group). Suzanne has operated her colour/design business for 20 years now with body corporates, unit complexes, councils, businesses including law firms, accountants etc and domestic abodes in her repertoire of projects. So if you are needing help to pull together a scheme for a new build, a renovation or some other make-over, do phone or text Suzanne on 0435006365. As of March 10th, the Revamp's Studio will be open every Saturday morning from 8am to 1pm. Drop in for a browse, make an appointment for a consultancy or sit & have a quiet cuppa
while browsing a decorator magazine.
NEW LOOK AT FIVE STAR SUPERMARKET
The Five Star Supermarket on Macleay Island is going through a major transformation. In recent weeks, the entire supermarket has been upgraded, redesigned and replaced. It has involved the removal of the old shelf system, the installation of new flooring, the erection of new and improved shelves for supermarket items, the range of product has increased, and new fridges and freezers have been recently installed. It is believed that air conditioning is soon to be installed at Five Star.
Jamie Mancer is the new official RACQ motorside mechanic designated to the Bay Islands. He was appointed to the position about four months ago, after previously working with the previous designated mechanic for several months. To compliment his RACQ services, Jamie has also opened Mancer’s Mechanical in a new industrial complex at 16 Robert Street, Russell Island. When he is not carrying out RACQ emergency work on the islands, his personal mechanical service will occupy his time. His services include mechanical repairs, auto electrical repairs, spare parts and servicing, new and used tyres, battery sales, HIAB and truck hire and soon, cheap car rentals. Jamie has an extensive history in the car industry starting out in his home town of Coonabarabran. Over the years he has worked for Ford, Holden and Toyota and as head technician with Land Rover, as well as in independent car workshops. You can phone Mancer’s Mechanical by phoning 0422291293.
GERARD JACOBS DOES A ‘MELBA’
Gerard Jacobs, the panel beater on Russell Island, has had more ‘comebacks’ than Melba (Melba was a famous Australian Opera Singer who made a heap of stage comebacks in the 1020’s and 30’s). Anyway, Gerard has had his ups and downs with his mobile panel repair and spray painting business to the islands. We have supported Gerard because we believed his skills were valuable to our islands. With disappointment in a recent edition we announced he was leaving the islands to get more work. Well, we are please to say that Gerard has changed his mind and will be staying on the islands with his quality panel and spray paint work. He is no longer going to leave. Yeaaaah. You may contact Gerard on 0431207810.
