EMERGENCY GENERATOR

ENERGEX PLACES EMERGENCY GENERATORS ON STRADDIE, MACLEAY ISLANDS
 
 Electricity provider, Energex, has placed 10 large diesel generators on MacLeay and North Stradbroke Islands.
 The reason: Energex crews are carrying out maintenance on the North Stradbroke Ibis substation.
 Energex advises the generators will be in place for ‘contingency reasons only’ and will not be running unless required.
 Work is expected to be completed on the Straddie substation soon after which the generators will be removed.
