Club Macleay were dished up an award at the recent Keno & Clubs Queensland Awards for Excellence.Over 1200 guests and friends of “clubland” attended the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre event to see Club Macleay take home the Best Dining for a small club award.The event was attended by Club Macleay chairman Barry Reid and his wife Jan and Watersedge Bistro chef and operators, Phil and Pam Postlethwaite.The award winning combination of great food, service and a spectacular picturesque view over the ever-beautiful Moreton Bay gave the club the edge over other nominations.Seafood is a feature on Club Macleay’s menu with their seafood basket a popular choice with many of the locals.Clubs Queensland Chief Executive Officer, Doug Flockhart, congratulated Club Macleay on their awards success and offered individual praise to the food and beverage operations at the club.“This premier bowling club is in a prime position that overlooks the beautiful Moreton Bay, making the club the ultimate destination on the island,” Mr Flockhart said.“The club’s dining facilities provide members and guests with the opportunity to enjoy either a romantic dinner for two overlooking the water or offers a great atmosphere for friends to catch up over a game of bowls and some afternoon drinks and nibbles,” he said.Keno & Clubs Queensland Awards for Excellence celebrates the collective and individual achievements by this vibrant $1.9 billion industry.
