The couple are starting out offering three vehicles for short or long-term hire.
They include a Toyota Corolla for daily use, a Suzuki Jimny a 4WD option, and a Kia Carnival for family or group hire.
"We think we have all island uses covered with the three vehicles we have to start Mud Crab Rentals," Linda Wright said.
Rick Wright is involved in the gas industry and the establishment of Mud Crab Rentals is all about planning for the future.
"We are looking to establishing and growing the rental business over time," Rick said.
Not only will they have the motor vehicles for hire, but also hire bikes and kayak hire.
At a later date they may add even more items for island hire.
The concept for Mud Crab Rentals involving vehicles, bikes and kayaks, will prove of huge benefit to a growing island tourist industry.
It is the growing area of the tourism where the couple feel there could be considerable growth.
"As more and more people discover our islands for visiting and living, we believe demand for our hire vehicles will grow, particularly as we will cater for all sectors," Rick Wright said.
"Hire is available on short term and long term arrangements," he added.
