Macleay Island BMX rider Tristan Marks is a young man going places.
Behind Kitti Schell, he was the second person to trial the new Macleay Island Skate Park.
As well as being a Year 12 student at Victoria Point High School, Tristan just happens to be one of the top BMX riders in Australia.
From little Macleay Island, he recently finished 18th in the elite junior level at the Australian titles in Victoria.
And he reckons that the new Macleay Island Skate Park is the 'perfect place' for him to perfect his aerial skills.
Nearly any afternoon you will see him on his BMX racer working on technique and display.
"This is great for the young people of the islands. For me as a BMX rider I can work on some of my tricks, whilst others on skateboards and scooters can do their 'thing'.
