NEW MANAGEMENT TEAM AT LITTLE SHIP CLUB

The Little Ship Club on North Stradbroke Island, has a new management team.

Dorothy and Bob Patterson have taken on the role, bringing stability to the famously located club.

The couple come with considerable credentials.

Bob Patterson is one of Wynnum's best known sons, playing football for the famous club for many years and also as secretary manager of the club.

Dorothy and Bob have worked throughout Queensland in all areas of the hospitality industry.

"There is very little we haven't done including up and around the island resorts in North Queensland, and managing property on the Gold Coast," Dorothy told The Friendly Bay Islander.

The husband and wife duo see their role at the Little Ship Club in providing stability.

"It is about getting the basics right, which means building up the Bistro, the bar and the function areas of the club," Dorothy said.

With these goals in mind, it was pleasing to see the huge SE Queensland Fire and Biodiversity conference recently held at the club.

"It was very good for the positive directions we are headed here at the Little Ship Club."

Recently a marquee wedding was held on the spectacular grounds of the club and was a huge success.

Small wonder, considering the club has one of the best locations anywhere.

The expansive northerly waterfront views with family BBQ amenities are just sensational, backed up by some of the best private mooring facilities on the islands.

"We have all the ingredients here for success," Bob Patterson added.

Providing the best possible amenities and services for Island families and visitors is clearly the key to the club's future, and Bob and Dorothy are determined to attain that goal.

The club is open 7 days with the Bistro providing lunch from Wednesday to Sunday from 12 to 2pm and dinner from Wednesday to Saturday from 6-8pm.
