MACLEAY ISLAND
This Dawn Service on Monday, April 25, the troops will muster on Kate Street at 5am to march off at 5.15am-5.30am to the Cenotaph at Pat’s Park. Approximately 5.30 the service will commence. The Macleay island President will introduce the Service. Padre, Fr. Jim will officiate at the service with a Prayer and the hymn “ Abide with Me.” There will be addresses and wreath laying by various island groups and organisations. The Ode to the Fallen will be recited followed by the Last Post, One Minute’s Silence and the Reveille. Fr. Jim will then deliver the Benediction and then the National Anthem. Mr.Russell Hearps will then close the Ceremony. A gunfire breakfast will be provided for the residents of a sausage sizzle, pea and ham soup and coffee (with rum). On completion of the tidy up, RSL Members will retire to Club Macleay for a Fellowship from 9am. and spread the same old tales with another year’s exaggeration. Island residents are invited to join us at the Club. The Catafalque Party will consist of members of the Emergency Services.
COOCHIEMUDLO ISLAND
The Dawn Service will be held at the Foreshore Memorial on Main Beach starting at 5.40am . Mid Morning Service will commence at 10 am.
Ferry Service will start at 5am - leaving from Victoria Point. Hopefully all those from Victoria Point and around will take advantage of this 'Early Bird Ferry Service ' to come over and share 'Sun Rise over the Water 'with the Coochiemudlo Island Community. Red Rock Cafe will be catering for the Gunfire Breakfast consisting of a Sausage Sizzle - Gold Coin Donation.

The mid morning service will commence at 10am - the ceremony will include local speakers. Parade Assembly Parade Marshal, RSL Members, Citizens Auxiliary, relatives of Defence Members (medals to be worn): Cnr Elizabeth St & Victoria Pde. Parade to march to Main Beach Memorial. Salute to be taken by Col David O’Hagan. Welcome by Mr Douglas Cope, address by Col O’Hagan. Prayers by Rev Barry Reed. All welcome.
RUSSELL ISLAND
The Russell RSL Club opens at 4.30am for the Dawn Service at 5.30am at Russell Island cenotaph in ANZAC Parade (entrance to RSL Club) to be followed by the Gunfire Breakfast. Marchers for the main service will assemble on the corner of Canaipa Rd and Cestrum St at 10 am for the march start at 10.45 to the cenotaph and the service at 11am. Stay on at the club for lunch and an afternoon packed with Live entertainment and traditional Anzac 'Two-Up’.
NORTH STRADBROKE ISLAND
The Stradbroke RSL will conduct the Anzac Day special Centenary Services on Monday, April 25. The Dawn Service will see North Stradbroke islanders assemble at 4.45am at the Dunwich Butcher's Shop for the March to the Cenotaph for the service at 5am. The island RSL club will be open for breakfast from 6am to 7am at $10.00 for adults and $7.50 for children under 12 years. At 10.30 am there will be an assembly at the Little Ship Club for the March to the Cenotaph with marchers 'stepping off' at 10.45am. The Commemorative Service will be held at 11am. LAMB ISLAND
The Anzac Day Dawn Service will be held at the island cenotaph adjacent to the Lamb Island Recreation Club and the Pioneer Hall from 4.45am. After the event, a Gunfire breakfast will be held. Courtesy Bus available. Ring club for pickup.
KARRAGARRA ISLAND
The Karragarra Island Ratepayers and Residents Association will host their unique Anzac Day Sunset Tribute on Monday, April 25th, 2016 at 4:00pm. A veteran will read The Ode. KIRRA and other residents will place their floral tributes and memorial wreaths into the waters of Southern Moreton Bay while the Last Post is played. The Macleay Island RSL has kindly donated $100 for our sausage sizzle which will follow the ceremony. People will need to bring their own beverages as we celebrate and remember the sacrifice made by so many so we can live in peace.
