Jamie’s Ministry of Food Mobile Kitchen has arrived in Cleveland for the next leg of its ongoing Queensland tour. The kitchen will be located at Stockland Cleveland South Mall, from 10th October to 19 for ten weeks. Classes begin on Monday 10th October 2016.

Participants of the program will learn to cook via a hands-on-experience led by Jamie’s Ministry of Food – Food Trainers and assisted by local volunteers.

Jamie’s Ministry of Food Mobile Kitchen, the first of its kind, opened in Queensland in January 2012 and since then has been teaching Queenslanders how to cook from scratch using fresh food. Results from a comprehensive evaluation of the program conducted by Deakin University and University of Melbourne showed participants who complete the course increased their vegetable consumption, were more confident in cooking meals from scratch and spent less money on take away foods.

Classes cost $20 per session; $15 for student card holders and $10 for concession. Bookings are open now and can be booked through www.jamiesministryoffood.com

Jamie’s Ministry of Food is based on Jamie Oliver’s belief that knowing how to cook healthy food from scratch is one of the best things you can do for your health, happiness and finances.

The Good Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation which has partnered with Jamie Oliver and principal partner, Woolworths to deliver Jamie’s Ministry of Food throughout Australia. Queensland Health has committed funding to The Good Foundation to support the delivery of the program in Queensland. The Good Guys, founding partner of Jamie’s Ministry of Food Australia, is proud to support the program which is helping to build healthier and happier communities.
