The Ray White Russell Island team are celebrating a stellar year after selling more than 200 properties in their first year of operation.
Principal, Janice Fitzsimmons said the success of 2016 could be put down to a great team with a great attitude.
“We’re a small team but we’re a dedicated one. We work hard and our two sales agents have collectively listed more than 500 properties since we opened - not bad for a place as small as Russell Island! We’re really thrilled with our results,” she said.
Building their business from the ground up, the team is now the number one Russell Island real estate agency on Rate My Agent. Janice said their efforts interacting with the local community has really boosted their profile.
“We’ve knitted ourselves into the community. We’re on the school P&C and we’re part of the committee for the local junior rugby league team. We try to get out into the community as much as we can,” she said.
The Ray White Russell Island team have sold to a variety of buyers in the past year, ranging from retirees to young families moving from the mainland in search of lifestyle.
“We always tell our buyers, out here you get birds, bush and water - it’s a lifestyle that’s hard to replicate anywhere else. We’ve sold to a lot of people coming from Brisbane and Sydney who are all seeking a sea change,” Janice said.
Looking forward to the next 12 months, Janice said the team plans to do much of the same.
“We’ll keep working away and improving on what we do every day - serving our community. We’ve gone from the ‘new kids on the block’ to the ‘tried and trusted’ agency in just 12 months - we’ll spend the next 12 building on that even more,” she said.
