Well known Russell Islander, Steve Marx, is handing in his ladder and is heading off out to the wild blue Pacific. Yes, Steve has finally decided to give up his TV antennae installation business for the time being and is boarding his yacht for new adventures. Steve has long had his yacht and has undertaken sailing ventures in the past, and has ‘threatened’ to head off for long sojourns. This time he means it and is first heading to the Whitsundays and he is not sure from that point on. He will be calling in at different harbours where he hopes his handyman skills, particularly around boats, will gain him some work along the way. He is a good bloke and we wish him well and expect him back one of these days!

Geoff Walsh and the team from Russell Island Real Estate are keen to get the message across that they have a great portfolio of properties available for sale and lease. RIRE has undergone a huge transformation and makeover in recent months and it is all there to see as you get off the ferry on Russell Island. The premises is outstanding with new landscaping and gardens, flags and signage and the latest in property displays in the windows. “It has been a big job but we wanted to get the property up to this standard to adequately promote Russell Island property for sale and rent.” They have a great property list and a terrific team of people who will make sure that Russell Island property continues to head ‘onward and upward’.

Great to see Jacqui Torbet of Canaipa Island Nursery getting busy as we head into Spring. Jacqui is to be admired for her love of plants and the islands. She definitely has a ‘green thumb’ and a visit to her nursery is definitely a pleasure. She has turned it into a garden adventure that you should visit, if you haven’t already done so!
