The Russell Island Bowls Club recently received a $35,000 community gambling fund grant to enable the club to complete the first stage of the club's refurbishment. This money will be spent on enhancing the outdoor entertainment and dining area. Club president John Schmith, shown here receiving cheque from Redlands MP Kim Richards, said that the grant will be a great boost and allow for more social activities involving members and visitors to be held at the club.
