SUPA IGA MEAT SECTION MAKING A DIFFERENCE ON RUSSELL ISLAND

Many islanders will notice how the meat section at the Supa IGA on Russell Island has expanded in recent times.

The meat range has been increased, the quality has improved dramatically, and the prices are super competitive.

It has been no accident.

Brett Murphy, of the Jones Retail Group, the owners of the Supa IGA Russell Island, told The Friendly Bay Islander that the changes have come about because the group now produces all its own meat from its own meat production facility.

“We have started seeing some great results since producing our own meat at the start of this year.

“Previously we had been buying pre-packed meat offers through alternative suppliers which meant we couldn’t control the quality and price as well as we can now,” Brett said.

And customers are certainly noticing the difference.

Just on Russell Island alone, the meat section has nearly doubled in size.

“We have been able to expand our range of meat selections substantially and it also means we can keep our pricing ultra-competitive as well.

With an extended range and new products on offer, customers will have some great options for island meals.

Supa IGA Russell Island are ready for the upcoming festive season with a fantastic range of award winning hams and accompaniments.

Store manager Debbie says the hams are of the absolute ‘best’ quality and the store has received great feedback on the range.

“We have had several customers who have purchased them report that the Christmas hams are excellent.” she said.

Why not call in and try the new range for yourself at Supa IGA Russell Island, open 6am – 8pm every day.
