A VISITOR TO OUR ISLANDS THESE HOLIDAYS?
Are you a visitor to our islands these holidays? Well, we would like to inform you that there are many terrific businesses on our islands that deserve your support. The best possible thing you could do, however, is to buy a block of land and build your new island home! Whilst you are here, enjoy our island facilities, support our supermarkets, shops and clubs, and get a glimpse of the more simple island life that we all know and love.

Whether it’s for fishing gear, bait, water safety or water fun, Michelle Ward can help you out. If it is hot and water fun is on your agenda, check out the terrific Scamp kayak from Coast Kayaks. CCTV CAMERAS A BOOST FOR BUSINESS
Thanks to Russell Island technician Travis Place, there may be a solution to the security CCTV cameras for the islands. We believe Travis has come up with a more simple way for them to be installed. And, it is likely there will be more cameras involved to not only cover the jetty areas on the islands, but car park areas as well. After a lot of mucking around, glad to see someone has finally come up with a solution to make it happen.
MORE POLICE WELCOMED BY ISLAND BUSINESS
The announcement about more police for Russell Island has been welcomed by island businesses.
The Russell Island Police Station will soon be a four-man police force. More police means more security and it sends out a positive message to the mostly law-abiding community, and a sobering message to those who believe that the law does not apply to them. Many in business hope the new initiative will provide just enough incentive to encourage some who live here for all the wrong reasons, to leave our islands for good.
