MIAC ART EVENT Starts from 15th June - Artwork by island indigenous artist Joe Geia. At the Macleay Island Arts Complex in Coast Road off Benowa St, Macleay Island.

18 June - Redlands Spinners & Weavers Warped & Twisted Open Day - 9am - 3pm - Redland Performing Arts Centre 2-16 Middle Street, Cleveland. . If you are interested in yarn and fibre or have a hankering to learn how to spin, come along and soak up the atmosphere. There will be a display and demonstration of antique spinning wheels; yarn, fibre, handmade soaps, embroidered goods, stationery and pottery yarn bowls for sale; a fashion parade and more. $5 entry which includes lucky door prize and morning tea. A community based organisation currently offering – Monday Patchwork sewing with Sylvia Gillard 9am -12.30. All other sessions and gallery 9.30am to 12.30 - Pottery tutored workshops on Monday and Friday – (greenware ceramic also available). Painting on Tuesday, Craft on Wednesday and Mosaics on Thursday. All sessions $5 to attend, including morning tea. All welcome!
