BEAUTIFICATION’ EFFORTS

July 5, 2020

MACLEAY ISLAND BUSINESSES RECOGNISED FOR ‘BEAUTIFICATION’ EFFORTS

Two awards have been presented to Macleay Island businesses Willow & Oak and Pub Paradise.

The awards are the initiative of the Macleay Island Progress Association’s Beautification Group.

The awards recognise the appreciation of the community for the efforts and considerable investment these two businesses have made in raising and enhancing the visual and service aspects of our business precinct.

The jetty and its surrounds, as the gateway to an expanding Macleay Island, is beginning to reflect the growing pride and confidence being seen in both business and community.

Future awards are planned for other premises when appropriate as the ‘Beaut Group’ hopes that these two extremely well deserved awards will encourage other proprietors to consider what could be done to visually improve their business frontage.

The ‘Beaut Group’ is always looking for easy going, like-minded people to join them in their efforts to tidy up areas around the island for a couple of hours twice a month, followed by a coffee and a chat afterwards.
