COMING EVENTS AUGUST

• LIGHT UP MY ISLAND (Light Up My Island) committee Lantern Parade to be held on the 22nd August at the Farmhouse, Russell Island. This will include community inclusion with the Russell Island Volunteer Fire Brigade There will be lanterns available. Start time of 5.30pm. All welcome!! This is an alcohol free event. There will be some lanterns with LED candles available to purchase on the night if you haven’t had a chance to buy or make one before-hand. Feel free to make yours at home and parade it around on the night.

•MACLEAY ISLAND ARTS COMPLEX - Winter Exhibition now open (Covid19 Social distancing restrictions apply. Enter now for Monochrome exhibition. The official opening and award presentation will be held from 6pm Saturday August 8, 2020. Whimsical Exhibition by Jan De Rooy and Suzie Catton still showing!

RUSSELL ISLAND COMMUNITY ARTS (RICArts) – A community-based organisation currently offering – Monday & Friday – Pottery; Monday – Patchwork; Tuesday – Art in any medium; Wednesday – Craft in any medium; Thursday – Mosaic. All sessions have tutors in attendance. Sessions and gallery open 9.30am to 12.30 - Sessions $5 to attend, including morning tea. All welcome!

• MIAC’s Monochrome Competition & Exhibition (Pthalo Green) will be travelling to RICARTS, The Farm, Arthouse & Gallery from Monday 24 August to Thursday 3 September with an opening evening on Friday 28 August from 6pm

• Trisha Dobson’s Open Weave Exhibition will be at The Farm, Arthouse & Gallery from Saturday 5 September to Saturday 19 September.

• RICARTS MEMBERSHIPS FOR 2020/2021 are now due. Still only $25 and $20 Concession. Pay in person at The Farm or Contact Barb (0427 225 939) for other payment options.
