JIMMY ELBOURNE INVITES ISLAND ARTISTS TO ENJOY HIS ‘LEGAL ART WALL’
A Russell Island home owner is encouraging ‘Legal Art’ on a wall at his very obvious island home.
Jimmy Elbourne is a ‘fan’ of good wall art and he hopes some great concepts come to shape on his wall art ‘canvas’.
His ‘Legal Art Wall’ is located at his home on the corner of 1 Waratah Street and Centre Road, Russell Island.
In fact, it is best known as the adjacent street to the road that turns off to the island waste facility (the dump)
The section of wall is 15 metres in length and is finished in painted panelling.
Jimmy Elbourne told The Friendly Bay Islander that the wall is available to anyone with a an ‘artistic bent’ to go along and ‘have a go’.
“All I ask is that they be ‘respectful’ and ‘be safe’.
There already have been a number of artistic subjects that have been more than promising.
“Who knows,” says Jimmy, this might lead to some young artists ‘going places’ with an appreciation of the their wall art efforts.
