ART MY WORD
Art My Word is back and 2023 will be a fantastic year with positive changes and improvements and we can’t wait to see artist and writers showing off their best creations. Art My Word started off as, and still is, a fundraiser for Macleay Island Community Library. It has also evolved into a celebration of Art, Literature and Community. We thank you, for welcoming and embracing Art My Word in your hearts and creative spaces. The Art My Word art challenge encourages visual artists to push their boundaries. Every entrant upon registration will receive a random book, to base their new 2D or 3D art piece on. Free interpretation and free choice of medium. Endless options and possibilities in other words! A new component this year is Art My Photo. We have had many wonderful photographic entries from our local community. These photos will be part of the story tellers kit and used as a source of inspiration for the writers. If you are a writer, you can register for the Art My Story part of the event, and you will receive a random photo to start off your written piece. Free choice of writing style. We believe Art My Word 2023 will be our biggest year yet and are super excited to see art and writing celebrated in our community. To register for Art My Word and Art My Story, visit the Macleay Island Community Library: Mon, Tue, Thu 9-4 & Fri, Sat 9-12.
