BAY AIR MERGER

STANLEY LEWIS’ BAY AIR MERGES WITH BRETT PATMAN'S REDLANDS COAST SHUTTLE SERVICE Things have changed dramatically for long time advertiser and friend, Stanley Lewis Nearly 15 years ago, Stanley established Bay Air shuttle service, particularly for island residents who needed to get to air, sea and train transport. To say he has been a success, is somewhat of an understatement. In fact, nearly 15 years after it was first started, Bay Air is far more than a small commuter bus service. Stanley has built the operation up to a fleet of eight buses and a team of 10 drivers. The business took a severe blow during the pandemic crisis, but Stanley has since returned the business to its former glory. To a point that Stanley Lewis has decided to take a ‘step back’ and so is merging Bay Air with a new player in the shuttle moving industry, Redlands Coast Shuttle. That business is owned by Brett Patman which has been in operation for only a few months, but has been associated with the Redlands and the islands for many years. Stanley for some time has wanted to ’slow down’ a little, so the opportunity has come to work in with Brett and merge Bay Air into a more productive outcome. “It is a great arrangement, but importantly it will allow me to step back a little, but still keep my ‘hand in’. Brett Patman says he is excited by the merger. “We can learn so much from Stanley. “He is a bit of an icon in the industry and his links and contacts are extraordinary.” From an island point of view, it will still be known as Bay Air. Under the umbrella of the bigger group they will be running the very busy connection service from the islands and the Redland Bay area to the airports, but also to the Brisbane cruise ship terminals and rail connections via the Roma Street Transit Centre. Several major airlines also use Bay Air exclusively to move their flight crews from their Brisbane accommodation to the airport. Three of Bay Air’s buses are required full time for this service. The business also works in with Hughes Limousines to do other work for major airlines such as Emirates, Ethiad and China Southern airlines. Bay Air has been successful because of Stanley Lewis’ dedication and determination. Brett Patman is keen to follow on with the same type of dedicated service, with the help of his partner Sally Brigg. redlandscoastshuttle.com.au 0450 904 990.
