BAY ISLAND CAR CLUB BOOSTED BY $15,000 TOOLS

The Bay Island Auto Club has recently been given a boost thanks to a $15,000 State Government grant. The grant was provided via Member for Redlands, Kim Richards MP. The funds were for the purchase of tools and equipment which will allow members to better maintain their mostly classic cars. Already the group have 57 members (and growing) on all the islands. The variety of cars that are owned on the islands are also wide-ranging from classic vehicles to even a dragster. The Bay Islands Auto Club is an incorporated not-for-profit organisation. It is an attraction for like-minded car enthusiasts wishing to enjoy discussion, inspection and maintenance of classic vehicles. The group organises social and display events and was recently a feature at the BIMSARA ‘Come and Try’ event at the Russell Island sports fields adjacent to Kennedy Farm. There were many great classic cars on display which always seem to attract a crowd. • The tools and Auto Club display at the BIMSARA ‘Come and Try’ event with club members Steve Mullins and Norman Ambrose.
