Live Life Pharmacy Russell Island has just completed a major extension and total upgrade. The extensive work involved a full expansion into what was previously a hair salon; doubling the size of the popular pharmacy The upgrade has been to the Live Life Pharmacy group styling, and the change has given islanders a new pharmacy that will be appreciated and enjoyed by all. With Managing Partner Sarah Cameron at the helm, the expansion and changes have been in the planning for some time. Live Life took over the island pharmacy at the start of this year from long-time pharmacist Don Frost. Sarah Cameron has been involved with Live Life for many years and has been behind the counter on the island from day one.

BICS KIODS CHRISTMAS
Bay Island Community Services will again hold a special Christmas event for island children. It will again be held at the beach on Karragarra Island on Sunday, December 1st from 10am to 12.30pm. If you want your child to attend, fill out the form on the BICS page in this edition. Entry forms need to be dropped off at the BICS shops at 55 Jackson Rd on Russell Island or 32 High Central Road, Macleay Island. A parent or guardian are required to attend with any children.

Margarita Brogden’s Aqua Mania classes are again being held again at the Bay Islands Swimming Pool on Russell Island. This year will be her sixth season at the pool and the additional good news is that classes are now available six days per week! SENIORS EXPO ON COOCHIEMUDLO ISLAND
Coochiemudlo Island Men’s Shed is holding a Seniors Expo as part of October Seniors Month. The event is funded by Redland City Council and will be held on Friday October the 18th from 9am -3pm at the Coochie Recreation Hall 41b Elizabeth Street, Coochiemudlo Island. There will be information stalls and information lectures on the day. The hall is located next to the fire station approx 500 metres up the road from the jetty. SMALL BUSINESS HUB PROGRAM EXPANDS TO SECOND REDLANDS COAST SITE
The Redlands Coast Small Business Hub program is set to expand into a second location, building on the success of the city’s inaugural hub at Cleveland Library. Redland City Council, in partnership with the Department of Employment, Small Business and Training (DESBT), have recently begun offering free information sessions for small businesses at Victoria Point Library. Sessions are being held at the new Victoria Point hub on the first Thursday of every month from 10am–2pm, with meetings also available online and over the phone. The hubs are designed to provide an avenue for business owners and prospective business owners to discuss their needs and goals and access resources to support their business ventures. The Cleveland Library hub will continue to operate on the third Thursday of every month from 10am–2pm, meaning that across the two hubs, sessions will be offered every fortnight on Redlands Coast.
