KEV’S WEEKDAY EVENING DINNERS AT THE BAYVIEW CAFE
Our good mate Kev the Chef has launched another small venture. Kev finished his time at the Russell Island RSL a few weeks ago, and now he is headed to the Bayview Cafe just up from the jetty on Russell Island to provide night time dining from 5pm. The cafe is open during the day for normal cafe service, but Kev will be taking over from 5pm to provide some exciting island dining. “There is not much open in the early evenings for food on the island, so I will be providing a unique dining experience.,” Kev told us. There will be undercover sit down dining available, and expect it to be beautifully lit, as well. As all islanders know, Kev knows his ’stuff’ and his great food is legendary. He says he will be doing it for ‘a while’ before he moves on to another venture later in the year!

Redland City Marina is going from strength to strength since opening their massive new showroom recently. Manager Ken Drummond (not Hammond as we wrote recently - sorry Ken!) tells us that he has been able to access a massive amount of new stock and the new shelves are absolutely jam-packed with everything marine!
