HELPS ROSSCO AND ANGELINA DELIVER THE FRIENDLY BAY ISLANDER ON COOCHIEMUDLO ISLAND
Say ‘hello’ to Bruce the Delivery Dog!
Bruce is the newest member of the Romeo family on Coochiemudlo Island who just so happen to deliver the Friendly Bay Islander to all our loyal ‘Coochie’ readers.
Bruce has a lovely nature and just loves to hop in the car and help deliver the magazine (well he thinks so, anyway)
As many readers will know, Roscoe and Angelina Romeo have been delivering the magazine on Coochie for several years.
Angelina uses the monthly delivery as part of her training. She happens to be one of Queensland’s top representative indoor hockey players.
Bruce became part of the Romeo family about 18 months ago. He is an ‘island dog’, because his parents are from Russell Island.
He loves to go to training with Angelina when she does her work-outs on Coochie.
And he really loves going on ‘adventures’ in the car, and that just happens to include the monthly delivery of your Friendly Bay Islander.
Rossco Romeo tells us that Bruce had a run-in with a large python when he was just five months old.
The big snake thought Bruce would make a handy meal.
‘Mum’ in the Romeo household was fortunately on hand to wrestle the big 10-12ft snake away from Bruce, but the loyal family pet had a considerable paw wound to show for the incident.
Rossco told us: “Bruce rarely barks, but when he gets really upset, he has a weird, human-like scream. And he certainly screamed during the snake incident.”
We are not surprised to learn that Bruce really enjoys a ‘good walk’ and certainly attracts attention when on leash and out and about on Coochie.
