NEW CAR PARK SURFACE AT RUSSELL ISLAND RSL CLUB
The Russell Island RSL Club has had a huge upgrade.
Work has just been completed on the extensive bitumen sealing of the very large club car park.
For the work to be carried out, a grant for $77,000 was received from the Federal Government.
The new roadwork links the carpark to the road at the north of the club, allowing for two entry/exit points, creating a drive-through for convenience.
To open the new car park, Federal MP for Bowman, Henry Pike. visited the RSL on Wednesday, October 4.
The Federal Government grant was assisted and supported by Henry Pike.
It involved a very friendly visit to the Russell Island RSL Club and Henry promised his help with any further grants that the RSL Club may apply for.
