PICKLEBALL IS HERE!

PLAY AND COMPETITION HAS NOW STARTED ON OUR ISLANDS

Pickleball, one of the world’s fastest growing sports can now be played in the Southern Moreton Bay Islands.

Originating from the U.S , the Pickleball craze is taking Queensland by storm . 

That’s no surprise as it is a game that appeals to all ages and abilities, as well as our climate!

Not dissimilar to what was once half-court tennis, players find the game social, challenging and fun; no need for the gym as it is keeping many fit. 

The game can be played indoors or outdoors. 

Pickleball has been launched on Russell Island, where it is being played Tuesdays and Saturdays from 10.00am-12.00pm at the Russell Island Sport and Recreation Park. 

In early Ma,, Pickleball will also be available on Macleay Island.
