TANJA MARIC IS RUSSELL ISLAND RSL CLUB NEW MANAGER The Russell Island RSL Club has a new manager. Tanja Maric has taken on the role, taking over from the RSL Sub Branch committee members who have been doing a sterling job running the club since its re-opening. The Russell Island RSL Sub-Branch Inc Committee are keen to introduce Tanja to member and guests, as well as Deve the Chef operating Billy’s Bistro. Tanja comes to the club with over 32-years of hospitality and business experience. Twenty-two of those years have been in clubs and pubs on the Gold Coast, in gaming as a manager and night auditor. Tanja holds all the necessary qualifications, such as: Responsible Service of Alcohol, Responsible Service of Gaming, Responsible Management of Licenced Venue, Gaming Nominee, Customer Liaison Officer and also with qualifications in Business Management and Accounting. The other good news is that the club is now open 7 days, and Kev the Chef is now cooking his famous Bistro Meals 7 days too, for both lunch and dinner. Kevin has provided catering for several clubs in the past, and is offering fabulous bistro and al-a-carte meals 7 days a week Lunch 12pm to 2pm & Dinner 5.30pm to 7.30pm It has been a case of slow and steady at the club after a traumatic 12 months, but there has been some great support from the island community for the vital island club that has so many memories for so many.
