ISLAND SECURE PARKING COMING TO RUSSELL ISLAND: EXPRESSION OF INTEREST NOW!
Island Secure Parking is coming to Russell Island.
At a time when council parking on the island is about to be addressed, it is revealed that there will still be a huge shortfall in the council parking area.
Island Secure Parking will be developed with a similar time-frame and will make available 27 secure parking spots behind security fencing that is monitored 24 hours a day.
It comes at a time when there are issues with island parking and vehicles being targeted by fuel thieves, probably influenced by the hike in fuel pricing.
Island Secure Parking will be located within 150 metres of the new Russell Island jetty , via a direct entry to the site from Alison Street.
The project is currently before Redland City Council and it is hoped approvals will see Island Secure Parking up and running before the end of this year.
Island Secure Parking will be fully fenced by high secure fencing.
There are 27 spaces only and the entire site will be monitored by 24 hour security cameras.
There will also be emergency power and amenities for emergency starting assistance if ever required.
Entry will be gained via entry gates at the top of Alison Crescent providing automatic entry for members only.
The cost per week will be $35, or just $5 a day
