VISTA GROUP SHAPING MACLEAY ISLAND STREETSCAPES WITH MURAL PROJECT
The Macleay Island VISTA Group on the Saturday evening of the 9th Dec 2023 hosted the opening of their landscape project “Vista Place” near to their previous mural project in Southsea Terrace.
State MP for Redlands, MP Kim Richards, declared the community garden open with the cutting of the ribbon.
The evening was also held to recognise the efforts and contributions of those people who helped on the project throughout the year.
Without their help it would not have come together and Vista are forever grateful.
The newly formed SMBI Concert Band did a beautiful rendition of “What A Wonderful World” of which the musical notes are featured on the mural.
Guests also sighted the bright and creative posts at the back of the landscape strip painted by some of our very talented island artists.
A very pleasant night was had by all &and there are many projects in the pipeline for 2024.
